Focus and Scope of the Journal

The Global Journal of Engineering Science & Technology (GJEST) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality original research, review articles, and technical notes in the broad domains of engineering, applied sciences, and emerging technologies. The journal aims to provide a global platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and practitioners to share innovative ideas, experimental findings, and practical solutions that contribute to technological advancement and sustainable development.

GJEST encourages interdisciplinary research and promotes the integration of theory, experimentation, modeling, and real-world applications. The journal publishes research that addresses current challenges and future trends in engineering and science.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, and short communications that demonstrate scientific rigor, novelty, and relevance to engineering and technological advancements.

Publication Frequency

The Global Journal of Engineering Science & Technology (GJEST) is a Bi-monthly journal, published six (06) times a year. Issues are released in the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Peer Review Process

The Global Journal of Engineering Science & Technology follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring academic integrity, fairness, and transparency.

  • The journal adopts a two-three-round review process to maintain high scholarly standards.

  • A well-maintained and subject-specific reviewer database is used to assign manuscripts to qualified and experienced reviewers, ensuring expert evaluation.

  • The double-blind review system is strictly followed, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to avoid bias.

Review Stages

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

    • Manuscripts are screened for scope, formatting, originality, and compliance with journal policies.

    • Plagiarism checks are conducted at this stage. Manuscripts with plagiarism beyond acceptable limits are rejected immediately.

  2. Primary Peer Review

    • The manuscript is sent to two or more independent reviewers from the journal’s reviewer database.

    • The primary review process is completed within five (05) weeks from the date of submission.

    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, technical quality, methodology, relevance, and contribution to the field.

  3. Revision and Secondary Review Rounds

    • Based on reviewer comments, authors may be asked to submit minor or major revisions.

    • Revised manuscripts may undergo further review rounds to ensure all concerns are adequately addressed.

  4. Final Editorial Decision

    • The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor makes the final decision (Accept / Reject) based on reviewers’ reports and revisions submitted.

    • The editorial decision is final and communicated to the authors with constructive feedback.

Open Access Policy

The Global Journal of Engineering Science & Technology (GJEST) is a fully open access, peer-reviewed journal that provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles without any subscription or payment barriers. This open access model ensures that research findings are freely available to researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and the general public worldwide, thereby promoting global visibility, knowledge dissemination, and academic collaboration.

Under the open access policy, authors retain the copyright of their work, and all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, adaptation, and sharing of the published work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source. This policy promotes maximum accessibility, encourages innovation and collaboration, enhances the visibility and impact of research, and supports the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge worldwide.
